Christmas- Along with it a time of mediation and thinking

Blessed and a joyous Christmas to all. Praise and thank Jesus born in Bethlehem
I have come to the realisation that blogging should not be a time to let my voice be heard but God's. Its been a while since I last blogged. Lots of things I wanted to share, like going for the Singapore vs Vietnam match at stadium, etc. Yet I wanted to share of God's sovereignty. (which means that He is always in control).
Sunday's message was on future faith. Continual of all the faith story of Hebrews 11. These statements struck me, "God allows things to happen to people so that His Will is done.". "God may not justify the means but He is in control." On the story of Jacob being blessed instead of Esau by Isaac, It indeed fits in and explains the contradiction to an extent.
The Christmas eve Service, Pastor talked about why God allowed so many innocent babies to die because Herod the king wanted to kill infant Jesus. There's these sentences that sort of sum up this thing. " They died so that Jesus can live and die for them." "God let His Son to escape death once so that He might not escape death the next time so that we can escape death every time."
Summary: God is in control, not only in His ultimate plan, but also in tiny details and issues in the life of each and everyone of us. Learn to trust Him in everything and as you do so, manifest His love to those around.
May this time be a time of reflection and learning, digesting of God's word as we seek Him day by day, onwards to the nest year coming ahead.

Montage of Youth camp

Courtesy of Bro Tze Gang. So Glad Syn Yeow came and learnt. All brethren out there continue to grow and seek God daily. Its not going to be easy but Press on!

It's been a long time

Quite a while since I last blogged after the youth camp. Must be busy playing too much games, Haha. Every time the computer is on, playing games seems just to come 1st for me.
Well, now that I am somewhat settled down as I type this post. I wanted to thank God for the youth camp 1st of all. It went through smoothly although there were like a clear sign of shortage of manpower due to what is happening in church.
Yesterday, my whole family went over to aunty Fong Meng house for dinner. Its was a simple gathering for my dad's Sunday school group. The food sure was delicious, shown only by the empty plates after we are done eating.
With Christmas round the corner, I am reminded once again of Christ's birth. Last Monday,Mr Foo was telling me that Christ wasn't born on the 25th of December. He may be right. And it only proves one point, Mr Foo was sure hungry to know more truths but yet he had not been seeking them with the Holy Spirit leading. Anyway, as I told him, the important thing is that Jesus was born and the fulfilment of all the old testament prophecies. I like the opening chapter of John, v1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God .... v14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
It can be too hard for humans like us to know how can God dwell in the flesh and still is God. But Jesus came down and through Him we all can be saved.
I will try my best to blog more about this Christmas and the true meaning of it. (not like what Tv says "Christmas is about the spirit of giving and caring", and the misuse of God's words in advertisements like "with God all things are possible")
