Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself also in the LORD,And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
This verse itself is simple and straight forward, yet many like us are not delighting ourself in God.
A new year has dawned it is only until now I have decided to blog on. It is only after careful considerations that I have chose the words I am going to put in. There is no purpose in squabbling on what the blog can be used for, as I only hoped and pray that the contents only can edify and build each other up, yet glorifying to God.
Before getting down to matters in life issues or things concerning our faith, I believe we need to be sufficiently prepared and ready. Even in 'soul winning' and giving of testimonies. That why we ought to be 'schemer' in a sense when applied to evangelism, being able to plan ways and strategies to weaken the target. (Not physically, but the softening of their heart). All these starts with one word: Pray.
The bible have numerous quotes of importance of prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray without ceasing, ...), and being ready always to defend our faith, (2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.)
I believed major changes will be coming for our church in the coming days, maybe with it divisions. There must be many questions floating in the minds of believers and non-believers as to issues of the what Church really is. What does the bible says about the Church? I think Bro Daniel is right and careful in showing us that we ought to seek answers only from the bible and that more complicated questions can only be answered by breaking the questions up to simpler and easier to digest questions.
Lots of time needs to be spend in prayer, for prayers are really powerful. I have seen many answered prayers in church and am blessed by them. Me myself also have my faith increased when I prayed for simple things (eg. bus to come on time...) and they are answered. God is really wonderful and Psalms 37:4 is real comforting for me and hopefully for you.
Mark 12:30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment.
With the 1st commandment of God in mind, have a blessed and fruitful 2009.
