Hardcore study now

I should have just studied well from the very start of JC. Or at least study more so I will not be panicking and worrying about my A level now that I am only getting S's for my Prelims.
Many people make many wrong choices in their life. I had also made lots of choices which I come to realise its not the best. "Why I never do this then, why didn't I engage in that activity?" These are just common answers people give when asked why they are unhappy with life. Unfortunately, time can never be reversed and we need to learn from where we gone wrong.
Paul in his apostles said
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. 16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind. (Philippians 3:12-16)
I was listening to our church's produced cantata audio CD and something struck hard on me. Make the right choice now. Apparently the Cantata feature Bobby which only trusted God after being stricken with a life threatening illness, instead of when he was still back in school. Life is always unpredictable. Not that I can just trust God for the best in my life, but that I pray to be used by God to shine for His Glory.

Formulae For Life

Formula for doing well in Prelims= Study+ Practice.
Formula for success in Life = Work Hard+ Stay Smart
The list of formulae for things in life goes on. In fact, Maths people argued that everything in life is related by some equations. I am a Maths student (though not doing well for it), I can see the complications and implications all these maths can get, with the proving of 1+1=2 being as complicated than being a simple task when things are studied in depth.
I was flipping through a book as I was looking for something. Its the book on the Prayer of Jabez. Inside it the author shown some quick formulae: I recalled also watching a DVD series in Church last Sunday and there the speaker also spoke of formulae. Is religion really about following a certain steps to be right and spiritual?
Good news for the unbelievers, You could be on your way to heaven if you follow the formula: Saved from eternal condemnation= Believing in Jesus and God+ That You are a sinner+ Believing Jesus died on the cross for your sins and rose again on the third day+ Asking for forgiveness and repentance from sins+ With a genuine heart.
That sort of sums up how the millions of Christians around the globe rejoices.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Class BBQ was somewhat successful and went on well. I believed everyone enjoyed themselves. All sorts of funny stuffs happened as usual. Haha.

Its a trying period for you and your family yet you chose to continue to have the BBQ at your hse, even to the expense of following us to get our food, for that I am thankful. I am someone that may take things too lightly but i seriously hope you will understand. I may not know well what kind of person you really are, with all the cheerful and carefree attitude... Sometimes I realised I badmouthed about you... Haha. That I wan to change.

God is good. He had moved me in ways unimaginable. As I consider my deeds, thoughts and action, I see that I am still very far away. I believed too that zonghan you also  always have tried to live justly and rightly. For 1Timothy4:12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Lets build each other up instead of breaking each other down. For now, just go study and concentrate on what's ahead. The A' levels.

Once again, sorry for me being too naive and taking things that you had arranged for granted.

Time to ON the Study mode now that all the fun is sort of over. I just lack the endurance in doing things. Ok thats all and Monday school starts. Lets just look forward to it.

Maybe time to set my pirority and draw the line as to when am I being consumed into the world.James4:4 Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

I believe I have failed terribly

Talking about prelims that is about to end, failing jus naturally floats into my head. And the amount of preparation I put in, I am indeed ashamed of my laziness. Wonder how people can last on for not weeks but months just on studying rush. Even I get sick of playing Dota after like two-three days of hardcore playing.

Not that I fail in terms of grades. I think I also failed in upholding my promise- To Study hard. I become tempted to push my faults to all other things. Its just human nature I guess.

Two more days and Prelims is over. Wasnt that like fast? Before I know it, 'A's will be over too. Really no time to waste anymore.

Looks like I am going to be trouble for my U's I am about to achieve. Haha.

CLass BBQ on 13th Sep

Was just chatting online yesterday and then I suggested having some class-bonding activity after the perlims. Intially was thinking of going East Coast cycle, Haha but realise not everyone can cycle. Then the idea of Bbq came about and on with the email sent suggesting a bbq over at zonghan's hse.

Just added songs to my blog which I took from Ze gang. Better tell him on sunday haha.

Its really a joy to be saved into God's kingdom. I never forget my sweet day of salvation when Auntie Adeleline lead me to Christ. Praise the Lord for his Mercies are enduring.

On the sidenote, I realised I haven been into serious studying these few days. For example today I only read through some econs. Wonder how I going to pass Prelims. Oh well. Need to help myself first before seeking God's help.

James 4:7-10

I Am Losing IT. Catch IT back

After studying for two days in school, suddenly just do not feel like studying these few days. Besides reading through some Econs and well, Maths, I really did like nothing much. Stayed at home and jus waste the day away.
My muscles was aching badly after some workout on Tuesday morning. Cant even stretch my arms. HAHA. Today went swimming in the afternoon. Really tough given that I cannot even stretch my arms properly without feeling the pain on my upper limbs.
Anyway, time to get onto the mood to study again. Tomorrow going Church to study, heard got some study session there. Hope its going to be a fruitful and time well spend.

Lean not on my own strength

I was reading through an article on Christian Liberty by John MacArthur yesterday. God impressed on my heart two sections of the Bible which I just wanted to share. They are Romans8:9-11
But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
And Galatians 5:13-16
13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another! 16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh
These verses seems just like they were just coming out of the bible literally. As I was flipping through the Bible for the references make by the book, I realised the verses on Galatians was bookmarked and the verses on Roman are marked by pen The very exact verses that the article was talking about. ( Remembering that I do not have a habit of writing on the bible, I quickly realised I was using my brother's Bible!)
Whatever the case, I believed God wanted to show me that I do have liberty over all the rules and conducts in the Old testament. The driving point is that we can have victory over our flesh if we abide by the Spirit.
Ok. On to other trivia matters. Went swimming this morning after months of inaction. I just cant get my arms to move like before, as expected. The easy swim in the morning was just too much for me. Now the muscle ache kicks in as I type. HAHA.
Today I went school and tried studied. Its wasnt as productive as yesterday. Too much talking after the lunch break, oh well. With the prelims drawing near, its better cultivate some good discipline (like waking up early- which I planned to achieve by going morning training) and get studying everyday. xD

Listen to the People
